Description
X1 offers secure wireless communication with smart cards, fobs and wristbands. It is an ISO 14443 compliant device that works with a host of popular smart card standards in use today through 13.56 MHz NFC technology.
The reader supports the proprietary G2K API, which introduces significant flexibility for custom development. It grants complete control over the reader and allows for development of comprehensive solutions. Gemini 2000 offers extensive documentation and development support to clients implementing the reader. Alternatively, a keyboard emulation firmware is also available that lets the reader pass card reads as keyboard strokes in a computer’s text fields.
The high impact plastic casing design is contemporary and minimalist, and features a large card landing zone for enhanced ease of use. The reader’s over-sized built-in antenna offers extended card reading range.
X1 is also available as an OEM module for integration into third-party machines. An optional SAM slot can be added upon request.
